In the Spring of 2019, NYC hard boogie heavyweights THE GOLDEN GRASS embarked on their 5th European tour, relentlessly banging out 24 concerts across the continent. "Heavy Colour" sees the powerhouse trio in full throttle psychedelic flight, recorded live on stage at Kulturbanhof in Jena, Germany.

This *warts and all* live document is an absolutely wild, ecstatic and electrifying 9 song/53 minute *no holds barred* and *every risk taken* affair, and the sweat comes pouring through the speakers. As masters of the craft, they execute their dexterous sound with a knowing control, a harnessed chaos of three-part harmoinies, proto-metal workouts, cosmic boogies, exploratory improvisations, and soaring psychedelic guitar solos!

***For the time being, this is a digital only release. If we all survive the Coronapocalypse, and there is still sufficient interest in a physical product, we may do a limited edition CD pressing of this release.***

I can’t believe I’m just now finding this band. I lucked into finding them by reading an old interview with The Skull members Eric Wagner, Ron Holzner, and Jeff Olson (All three formerly of Trouble, too). They’ve been broken up for almost a decade now. Such a shame; they should have and still should be HUGE! The vocalist has some amazing pipes! If you listen to the first song and don’t buy it, it’s quite possible you have zero taste when it comes to heavy music. Jason Gilbert
